Isabella Goveia continues her breakthrough year, having run a 3-second personal best of 2:03.96 in the 800m to establish herself as one of Canada’s top U23 athletes in the event.

She builds on an impressive university indoor season where she captured gold in the 600m and 4x800m relay, along with bronze medals in both the 1000m, 4x400m relay and overall team.

Her performances have earned her a selection to her first national team, where she will compete in Europe as part of Canada’s NextGen group, comprised of rising track and field talent. She heads to Europe to gain international racing experience and continue her development on the global stage.
